DaVinci Academy

DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts was the brainchild of a coalition of business, science, education, and community leaders early in 2003. The concept of creating a high school in downtown Ogden that provided the knowledge and skills students needed in the 21st century was compelling for many. After months of work, DaVinci Academy was chartered by the Utah State Board of Education and opened its doors in August 2004 with the mission of integrating science and the arts after the example of the original Renaissance man, Leonardo da Vinci.

Naturally this progressed into a college ready, project-based curriculum that addresses the needs of the whole child.

The Whittier Center hosts one of the DaVinci Academy distance learning centers.
