The Shimmering Sands Belly Dance Company explores the captivating art of belly dance. Focusing mainly on the Modern Egyptian cabaret style of belly dance, Shimmering Sands also learns and explores a variety of Middle Eastern dance styles as well as their musical and cultural context.
Shimmering Sands offers beginner to advanced level classes. Join the fun and learn how to shimmy. Beginning classes are on Tuesdays at 7:00 at the Whittier Community Center. There are no pre-requisites and the class is open to all. Check our website for details.
